The 30 DAY Fitness Challenge!!

I have a few resolutions for 2012 like to save more money and be more patient but, this year I can tell you two things that are not on my list...
1. Dieting
2. Lose Weight

Now...let me explain. Every time I say that these are things that I want to happen, I FAIL! I completely suck at dieting; as soon as I tell myself that something is off limits, whether it be sweets, alcohol or fast food, then my body automatically craves them! So no dieting this year! Why set yourself up to fail?

My main 2012 self resolution is to simply be healthy. And this is where my 30 Day Fitness Challenge comes into play!

For 30 days, starting today, January 2, 2012, I will do something physically active for 30 days. My activities are not limited...they can be running, weights, tennis, walking with Reagan in the stroller, a ropes course if i want..anything as long as its legit! This will ensure me that even on days when I'm pressed for time or simply don't want to do anything that I can walk out my front door, run a quick mile and at least have done something! Now I will still be hard on myself, meaning that I'll still have expectations of myself and some workouts will be harder that others. I will still be running and challenging myself there with time and distance but unlike before running wont have to be my only option. Are y'all thinking I'm crazy yet?!

Now don't get me wrong, if my two non-resolutions listed above happen because of my 30 day challenge then I'll welcome it. The difference this year, is that they are simply not what matters! I want Reagan to view her Mama as a strong, healthy and happy!

To stay on track I will blog weekly my progress of what Ive done so I can be held accountable. I would WELCOME anyone who wants to do this with me! Come on...any takers!?!? The challenge is not meant to be miserable, it's meant to be exciting, pushing new boundaries and staying/becoming healthy!

SOOOOO, no fad diets, no public weigh in's and no reason to fail!
Bring it on 2012!
