Where I was

I was a senior in high school, sitting in my first period class that took place in the recording studio off the library. Since this was the class that did the school televised morning announcements we always had the tv's on in the studio.

I remember watching the 2nd plane hit in pure shock.

I remember watching the twin towers collapse to the ground in pure horror.

Is this real?

Sadly, it was very real.

I cried this morning as I watched the 10 year old kids talk about the Dad's they never met. Dad's that died with thousands of other innocent people. As I was watching (and crying) I couldn't believe that this horror happened 10 years ago today and America still feels its impact so deeply. I pray for all those families that lost loved ones from 9-11-01. Shame on the ones that try and hurt our country.

But one thing is still very true...

I am SO proud to be an American!
