Here's a few things about Reagan as of late...
-13.3lbs as of 12-6-2010. I know that seems small but for Reagan is huge! This means that she is close to tripling her birth weight which most babies don't do until they are closer to one! Her pediatrician was very pleased and says "She's just petite!"
-She is crawling like crazy! And fast! Sometimes I swear you can see smoke behind her little tush as scoots all over the house! We need to do some more baby proofing...and asap!
-We had to lower her crib all the way to the lowest setting. I noticed she was starting to be able to peer over while pushing up a couple weeks back so we went ahead and moved to the middle level. Well, that lasted all of one week. I watched her in the baby monitor pull to a standing position and I was too afraid she would be able to fling her self over! She's so active and on the go we cant keep that girl in one place!
-The NICU came to our house two weeks ago for RE's follow up. Its something they do free of charge to babies that had issues at birth,Reagan had plenty of them, to make sure there are no delays and if there are what we can do help. I honestly didn't really have that heart wrenching feeling that anything was wrong just because we feel Reagan is doing everything and most things ahead of her age range but for peace of mind we participated. We were right, she scored on all 7month old age ranges! It's like she's so small she has something to prove! Chad and I are very proud parents!
-We started food! We had been doing rice cereal and oatmeal for about the past month so last night we were ready to dive into some carrots! Reagan's face was priceless! She HATED them! She kept eating but everytime she took a bit she scrunched her face up so funny! Chad and I were cracking up! We'll try some more tonight! Ive heard to not give up on a food a baby doesn't like until they have tried it about 15 times.
-She is such a happy, giggly, curious little baby! She hardly ever cries unless she is very tired and even then its more of a whine. It makes me sad at how fast she's growing and that she's not that tiny little baby I can cradle anymore BUT...this age is by far my favorite as of now!
-And...OMG...Reagan is finally sleeping! And I mean all night long! I never thought we would see the day! She goes to bed promptly at 7:30 (sometimes earlier) and doesn't wake until about 6:45! The bags under my eyes are slowing starting to fade! But she was well worth all those sleepless months!
I pray to God everyday and thank him so very much for blessing Chad and I with this incredible baby girl! She is truly amazing and I'm so very proud to be her Mommy!
