Christmas Weekend-ONE

Busy Busy weekend is in progress! After a looooong day at work I picked my sweet pea and headed home for some play time, sweet potatoes and oatmeal, bath time and a snuggle! Once Reagan was down for the count I put the apron on a got to work! I made several dozen Praline Graham Cracker cookies and a huge container of Broccoli Salad. Tomorrow is the Stocks' Family Christmas weekend. It is always the weekend before Christmas which works out wonderfully on being able to spend ample time with both families over the holiday. We meet in Kinston at Chad's aunt and uncle's house for a huge family lunch followed by presents and the annual "Boys in their boxers" dance! All the men in the family always receive a new pair of Joe Boxers and traditionally they all slip them on over their clothes for a picture! (sometimes they conga line outside for a few giggles from the ladies!!) Then its time for the annual Cookie Exchange! This a fav for me! All the women in family bring several dozen homemade cookies and then we get to exchanging! Chad likes this tradition even better than I do as all the cookies seem to disappear very fast in our house!
After a fun afternoon we pack up and head to New Bern to Chad's Mom (BaBa) house to have our immediate family Christmas. We usually snack on food that his Mom puts out since everyone is usually still stuffed from the lunch, put on pj's, crack a bottle of wine and exchange our gifts! Its always a fun relaxing evening that I really look forward to; Especially since it's Reagan's first Christmas!! I know she wont remember but her Mama sure will!

But before all the family fun begins Reagan and I will attend our monthly playgroup in the morning! This is our third one and I'm so thankful that we've started this group! It's a great bunch of Mommies and some of the most adorable babies I've ever seen! Its so nice to get together and be able to talk about what's going on, what we're struggling with and share advice! I look so forward to it and being that we only do this once a month it's amazing to see how much the babies change in that time frame! They all grow like weeds! I hope everyone is prepared though tomorrow..Reagan is a girl on a mission now that she's crawling! Watch out!
