Ah! I love a weekend that is carefree but fun and successful! That's exactly what this past weekend felt like!
Friday night Chad, Reagan and myself went for an early dinner at the new Carolina Ale House here in Greenville. Anyone who knows Greenville knows that when a new restaurant arrives it's near to impossible to get in within the first few months. But since we live the toddler lifestyle we went early, 5:45 early, and only had to wait about 20 minuets before being seated. Reagan did wonderful! She LOVES to color now, so I bring a little coloring book and crayons and she's fully occupied until food arrives!
Saturday morning started off with an early 6 mile run with my running loves! Then back home by 8:45am so Chad could get on the road in time. He had himself a good ole' boys weekend in Charlotte for the Nascar Race. An activity I was more than pleased to stay home for! HA!
Reagan and I had a great time together, just us girls! We spent a couple hours at the park playing, then had a late lunch at McCalisters and even did a Target trip to pick up a few necessities. Diapers, wipes, new bra's (I was in desperate need! Nursing took a toll on me!) Sorry..TMI! We were in no rush so I let Reagan play in the toy aisles for a while and she was just in awe! So fun to watch her little brain engulf all these new things!
Once we arrived home we played outside to around 6pm. Reagan loves to play with a soccer ball. She squeals louder than Ive ever heard while she runs, kicks, throws and sits with this ball! Looks like we'll have to sign her up in a couple years for a Soccer team:)
After Reagan was in bed my girlfriend, Katie, came over and we had a movie night. We munched on fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and laughed our heads off watching "Bridesmaids!" Saturday was a GREAT day!
Sunday, Reagan and I were up and out to early church followed by a little breakfast at Dunkin Donuts. Coffee for Mommy and a blueberry donut for my human garbage disposal! Chad made it home a little after noon so we decided to spend the afternoon at Briley's Farm. This place is SO neat! It's a pumpkin patch, hay ride, corn maze, hay maze, animal petting and pony rides all in one! Reagan had an absolute ball! And it was the perfect Kodak moment for Mama to snap several dozen pictures!
Sunday night we cooked a great dinner; baked ranch bone in pork chops, quartered potatoes, creamed spinach and we heated the up the homemade bread that I somehow managed to make Saturday! Perfect ending to what I would call a perfect weekend!
Enjoy our photos...The first couple are this time last year at the pumpkin patch. Reagan has grown SOOOOO much!
