The latest happenings of the Stocks' fam!
Last Friday we grabbed a babysitter last minute and went to hear the Emily Minor Band with Molly and Myers! The band didn't go on till 10pm which was perfect since we didn't even have our babysitter arrive till Reagan was already down for the count..she never knew we were gone! EMB plays every old and new country song out there and is SO FUN to listen to! We had a great time with our friends sipping cocktails and listening/singing to great music!
Saturday morning we had every intention of taking the boat out. While Reagan took her morning nap Chad and did everything to prepare for a day out on the water but when little miss woke up I immediately realized she had a fever. Her little body was so hot and she was super whiny. Her temp spiked to 104 at the highest and she had a super nasty cough to go with it. So instead Reagan and I camped out in the living room floor with blankets and pillows, cuddled, watched TV movies..some Micky Mouse Clubhouse too...snacks and just relaxed and played. Things do happen for a reason! Chad ended up taking the boat out anyway and got caught in a horrible sudden storm out on the water. SOOOOO glad Reagan and I weren't out there too.
Sat night Chad and I ordered take out and watched the movie 'Country Strong'. It was so good, but super sad. Great music though!
Sunday was similar to Saturday since Reagan still was feeling bad minus a few errands to Target and the grocery store I got in during her naps. Sunday night after Reagan and Chad were in bed I watched 'Black Swan'. (yea, couldn't talk the hubs into watching that one with me!) All I can say about that movie is...FREAKY!
Monday Reagan's temp was better but she still had a horrible cough and was becoming horse so we left for the doctor and arrived at 7:30am so we could be seen first thing. Outcome is...The Croup. A yucky virus with nasty cough and high fevers. They put her on a steroid to help loosen her throat glands and told us to continue with Tylenol for the fevers. We headed home for some more TLC. She was much better Tuesday so back to daycare and work for both of us!
I signed up for a 10 mile run in December so I'm training for that. I ran 5 days last week with my longest run being 6.5 miles. So far this week...Monday, 2.5 fast miles, Tuesday, 5.2 miles and I still need to get in today's. I was way too tired to run this am, so ill have to fit in some gym time this afternoon. I downloaded an audio book to my iPod which really makes time go by faster during my longer runs.
Tonight is dinner and wine night with two of my besties!! Always look forward to that!
Saturday Reagan is going to spend the day and night with her Baba and get in so good quality time while Chad and I are off to OCRACOKE ISLAND! I am so excited!! Ive aways wanted to go here but never have. We are taking the Ferry over Saturday morning, going to do some exploring and beach time that afternoon. We have dinner reservations Saturday night and then time for some island fun! We are going with all of Chad's hometown gang so there will be about 10 couples! Ill post pics when i get back!
So this was a long post with no real meaning but hey...that's what blogs are for right!?

So glad to read you went to see the Emily Minor Band. Emily worked for me in '05-06 at Abercrombie in Wilmington and I had no idea what she was up to! Back in they day I used to turn down the music in the store and make her sing to me. I even considered having her sing, "At Last" at my wedding reception...She was such a cute kid and at that time was a senior in high school. Anywho, thanks for the update! Now, I have to google her!
ReplyDeleteI agree about Black Swan... was SO looking forward to it, but in the end was left a little disturbed. HaHa! Hope you guys enjoy your trip and glad Reagan is feeling better (poor little thing).
