Saturday morning I volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and helped build a house for a very appreciative family in need. It was a great experience and feels so good to give back to the community. The 5hrs that I built went towards my semester volunteer hours for my membership in the Junior Women's Association of Greenville. Us ladies had a great time out there and really made some progress in the house! Saturday afternoon Reagan and I went shopping with BaBa, Chad's Mom, to buy RE some new fall clothes...I must say she racked up! That evening we cooked shrimp and grits for dinner and Barbara, Chad and myself put the baby to bed and wathced the Pirates win on tv!
Sunday, Chad and I took our little pumpkin to the pumpkin patch! Now, I know Reagan will never remember that and could care less about being there but all Mommy could see was a perfect photo-op!! When we first sat her in the grass she went ballistic, but then she was fine! We were able to get a few cute pics of her and a pretty good fall family picture as well! Oh yea, we also got our pumpkins!
Earlier in the week I had come across a really yummy looking recipe for peanut butter banana bread so after we got home from the patch and fresh market(picked up dinner) i got to baking! It does indeed smell yummy in the oven!
Whew! Like I said...busy weekend! But it was so nice to have some good family time!
Happy Fall Everyone!
