"Bewitching Hour"

The Bewitching hour usually takes place in the evening and is a time where babies tend to meltdown for really no apparent reason. This so called "hour" for us lasts anywhere from 1 to 5hrs! After making sure Reagan has been fed and changed we try as best we can to keep her happy and calm during this time of day. Usually it's because she is overly tired and is refusing to take another nap in case our little 'social butterfly' were to miss something exciting that's going on. This is also when Chad is getting home from work and all in all the day is winding down. Babies are apparently supposed to grow out of this period as they get older and it definitely has gotten better for Reagan than it was a month ago. But when she screams and cries for hours a day it makes for a very tense and frazzled Mommy and Daddy! Even when the evening is going so far so good, Chad and I stay tense anticipating when the event will begin. After talking with some other mommy friends, it's absolutely a feeling that gets easier and more comfortable with time. No matter the amount of crying or the loudness of the screams we cant help but smile because she just looks so darn cute during the meltdowns! Hopefully soon Reagan will calm down this time of day and the "bewitching hour" will be a small memory of the past. For now we are just dealing and and trying to enjoy every moment knowing that it all passes way too fast!

Recent meltdown caught on camera!
