Weekend Happenings

This weekend was one of those where we had absolutely nothing we had to do! Those are so far and few between these days and it was so wonderful to be on our own schedule!

Reagan slept past 8am both days, Sunday was even closer to 9am! We lounged in pj's Saturday morning, sipped coffee, Chad did yard work and then we headed out to lunch at one of our favorite spots, Moe's! Afterwards we ran a few errands, check out some furniture for the sun room and what Saturday wouldn't be complete without a diaper run to Target and several trips to Lowe's!

The back of our new house is basically covered in windows which we love for all that beautiful natural light. But in the sun room we also have 4 ceiling to floor windows which are pretty exposed to the side yard and could be visible by neighbors. We needed to get some type of curtain/shade to put up with out taking away from the light we wanted to have during the day. I finally decided on Roman Shades that we can keep up high during the day and let down for our privacy at night. I'm really happy with how it turned out! (they are a pale blue color)

I found this "oh so cute" wall art last weekend when my Mom was here visiting and also wanted to share with all you "Sounthen'ers"!

Sunday, after Reagan woke at 9am!, we rushed getting ready for church, enjoyed a little lunch out and then Daddy headed to the golf course. Reagan napped till after 3:30, so our afternoon included a trip to the grocery store and a walk in the neighborhood.

Once again, Pinterest provided me with our Sunday night supper! AND, this was also Reagan approved and even had her asking for a second helping!

This was super easy and tasted so good!! I served it with garlic ciabatta bread. We will having this again for sure! We even made homemade strawberry milkshakes for dessert!

After all the yummy food we endured this weekend I had to start this Monday off right with an early run... in the rain! Good thing Ive got an awesome running group to keep me motivated and hit the pavement rain or shine! Workout buddies are absolutely the key to sticking with it! They push you, distract you and simply make it more fun!

Happy Monday Everyone! Here's to a great week ahead!
